The Earth’s natural resources are being used at an alarming rate. Billions of tons every year in fact. This is why we all must think about what we throw away. And most importantly, what we can recycle.

Why it’s so important

The last decade has been the hottest on record and we are facing a climate emergency.  One of the easiest ways to prevent rising temperatures is recycling.

Each year recycling saves over 700 million tonnes in CO2 emissions and this is projected to increase to 1 billion tons by 2030.

This is why one of the missions of Global Recycling Day is to ask people across the world to think about recycling and not simply throw things away.
